Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs โ Jet Washing in Devon & Cornwall
Q: Is jet washing safe for all surfaces?
In a word, no. We will advise the best options on your surfaces during the preliminary visit and quote stage. We always adjust pressure levels to suit the surface, using special chemicals where needed.
Q: Do you offer re-sand and sealing for driveways?
Yes, we can re-sand block paving and apply sealants for protection. A number of different and specialised products are available and "Polymeric Sand" can also be used. (Contact Us for details)
Q: How often should I clean my patio or driveway?
Mostly a minimum of once a year, however, most customers choose twice a year to maintain kerb appeal through the summer months and increase safety through the winter. In particularly wet areas it's recommended to treat the floor mould regularly to protect the floor and keep it slip free.
Q: Are the chemicals safe for animals and plantlife?
Yes and no. Some 'ECO' chemicals we use are specifically designed without caustic etc, these are very expensive and not as efficient as 'NON-ECO'.
'NON-ECO' chemicals for softwashing will kill mosses and funghi's, plants can get damaged but with care its fine. Once the chemicals are diluted and rinsed away they pose no harm to animals.
Q: Can Softwashing restore a mouldy wall thats painted?
Absolutly! Softwashing is the only way to ensure the mould spores are killed. Not only does the softwashing clean and protect, in most cases it can bring the paintwork up like new, avoiding costly painting jobs!
